Fig. 4. Analysis of muscle fiber nucleation by immunohistochemistry. Representative images of frozen cross sections that had been stained with {alpha}-laminin to delineate the sarcolemma and with 4,6-diamidino-2-phenylindole to reveal that all nuclei are shown for each experimental condition. Central nuclei (arrows) were apparent in all rAAVIGF-I-injected cross sections and were most prominent in muscles from the RT + IGF group.
