CORRIGENDA

Volume 91, July 2001

Pages 328-335: J. R. Rodman, A. K. Curran, K. S. Henderson, J. A. Dempsey, and C. A. Smith. "Carotid body denervation in dogs: eupnea and the ventilatory response to hyperoxic hypercapnia." In the DISCUSSION, we inadvertently failed to cite a key paper by H. Gautier and M. Bonora (Effects of carotid body denervation on respiratory pattern of awake cats. J Appl Physiol 46: 1127-1131, 1979), which used awake carotid body denervated cats to demonstrate a significant contribution of the carotid bodies to the hyperoxic ventilatory response to hypercapnia. We regret this error.
