Several mathematical errors have been detected by the author in this paper.
In the short section concerned with the estimation of aortic size from Bazett's compilation of Suter's data, several errors have been discovered, all of them the consequence of a mistake in transcribing measurements made on the aortas at necropsy from the original record. On page 321, line 24 of the right column, the value for the measured aortic cross section area of M.M. should be 3.3 cm2 and that for H.Z. should be 5.1 cm2. The inclusions of these errors in the computation affected the last two correlation coefficients of table I, which should be 0.37 and 0.49; and also regression equations 7 and 8 of table 2 (page 323) which should be:

Page 326: In table 4, equations 11 and 12, decimal points have been misplaced. The equations should read:

Page 327: In table 5, equation 16, a minus sign before the first term on the right has been omitted, This equation should read:

The correction of these errors has had no adverse effect on any conclusion given in the paper.
