A procedure for chronic lymphaticoesophageal shunt is presented. Daily samples of blood and lymph from 10 dogs were analyzed for total protein and fibrinogen concentrations. The data obtained for a 5-day period are presented to indicate the utility of this preparation in the study of those proteins which enter the systemic circulation via the lymphatics.
