1 From the Department of Anaesthetics, St. Thomas' Hospital and the Department of Medicine, St. Thomas's Hospital Medical School, London, England
The present investigation was undertaken to see if there was any change in the compliance of the lung during anesthesia. The compliance was estimated by the method of Dornhorst and Leathart before and shortly after the induction of anesthesia with thiopentone and paralysis with succinylcholine. No significant change was found in 10 subjects who were free from respiratory disease.
