An indirect microchamber method is described for the determination of capillary, venule or arteriole pressure. It can be used to determine the pressure in individual small blood vessels in a microscopic field. The blood pressures at different points of a continuous blood stream from arteriole to capillary to venule can be determined by this method. The blood pressures in capillaries, venules and arterioles of cats, rabbits and dogs were determined.
